Motorized (Friction Drive) Ultraron

The motorized ULTRARON (Friction Wheel - Drive) has the same accuracy as the manual ULTRARON. Motorized units can be controlled to suit inspection, grinding or other applications. Constant or variable speeds can be maintained. The motorized ULTRARON may be readily disengaged from the drive unit when desired and rotated manually, for part set-up.

The table drive includes a variable speed, solid state AC to a filtered DC output for cooler motor operation, longer brush life, lower audible noise, and wider speed range conversion system. A DC geared head motor driven friction wheel, is coupled to the rotary table by a mounting bracket, which supports the motor/wheel assembly. The wheel is spring loaded against the knurled area of the table O.D. to develop driving friction. The drive assembly may be disengaged permitting manual rotation. Speeds are adjustable manually using speed pot mounted on the enclosure, from top speed down to ½ of the top speed. There is also a rotary switch for direction as well as a toggle switch to turn AC power on/off.
