Friction Lock Rotary Table
The Precision Broach Rotary Table is ruggedly built but of compact design, to minimize the loss of machining capacity. The stability and precision results from the design and construction of the table. The construction assures minimum runout and minimum parallelism error between the rotating and stationary table elements.
A servomotor coupled to the table through an anti- backlashed gear reduction transmission drives the Precision Broach Rotary Table. The reduction gearing is a unique design in that we use two (2) spur gear drive trains to the bull gear driving the table. The drive is anti-backlashed by a torsional spring. The combination of this drive and the table allows the maxim torque transmittal to the tabletop.
In addition the table is clamped in position via stacked disc spring clamps mounted internally located near the outer diameter of the tabletop providing maxim torque resistance. The table is unclamped by an air over hydraulic internal pump.
Table feedback is provided with a "Heidenhain" encoder-mounted directly onto the table rotational axis, and an IVB interpolation and digitizing electronics mounted within the table. Providing the table with the best positional and repeatable accuracy available.
